Mid Valley Outpatient (MVO), a program of Social Model Recovery Systems, officially opened its doors at its new location at 11046 Main Street, El Monte, CA on November 29.

Program Director Elizabeth Ello, whose guidance and commitment have played a pivotal role in shaping the vision and mission of Mid Valley Outpatient, welcomed attendees with enthusiasm.

MVOP is now situated in a more accessible space, which signifies a renewed dedication to providing top-quality substance use disorder treatment services for adults and adolescents.

The ceremony started with a welcome remark by Senior Director of Community Relations Mike Schaub, a dignitary acknowledgment, and the introduction of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bruce Boardman.

Attendees were immersed in the rich history of Mid Valley Outpatient, learning about its origins and milestones. 1st District Supervisor Hilda Solis of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, was introduced and shared valuable insights on the significance of initiatives like MVOP in the community. Supervisor Solis expressed her thoughts and perspectives on the importance of programs like MVOP in the community, highlighting the significance of collective efforts toward healing.

Also present to grace the occasion were members of the El Monte Police Department, led by Chief Jake Fisher, underscoring the collaborative efforts between MVOP and the local law enforcement community.

Following the ceremony, were guided tours, allowing guests to explore the spaces where transformation will unfold. The tours provided an opportunity for the community to witness firsthand the commitment of MVOP to delivering top-quality outpatient addiction treatment services.

Light snacks were provided as guests explored the facility, creating an environment for casual conversation and connection. The grand reopening of MVOP not only introduced its services and facilities to the community but also marked the beginning of a journey focused on hope, healing, and recovery.
